Oscar-nominated actress Dyan Cannon is known for long and dynamic career as an actress. Even at 83, the star has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
We caught up with Cannon about her role in the new film Hope's Legacy, which tells the story of a young woman who inherits her family's ranch. She then enters the equestrian world with the help of folks along the way. When we asked the star about the film, she shares Hope's Legacy is a film the whole family to enjoy. She says,
"This is a nice, sweet, family friendly movie. It's a movie that you can stick your five, six, seven year olds in front of. You don't have to worry about anything unlike what'd like to teach your five, six, seven year old."
Cannon also tells us that people around her bring up retiring. But there are no plans of that! She is writing, directing, producing, and more. She asked about keeping busy. She shares with us,
"People talk about retiring, and I say "To what?" I have to keep busy. I'm writing, I'm directing, I'm executive producing, I'm acting in my show, so I'm always doing something."
Known for being an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan and courtside fixture, Cannon tells us about her relationship with the late Kobe Bryant. When a crisis occurred in Cannon's life, Kobe was the first to reach out. She tells us,
"He was one of the most inspirational people I have ever known. I've never seen anyone work as hard or be as committed. When my condo caught on fire and I wasn't at a game, because I'm always at the game courtside, he was the first one to call to see if I was okay."
