Don Johnson and SNL's Chris Redd are teaming up with Kenan Thompson for his upcoming comedy series Kenan.
The new series will star Kenan Thompson as Kenan in his attempts to be a super dad to his two daughters, while trying to balance his career as a host of Atlanta's No. 2 morning show. On top of this, Kenan must deal with the tribulations he faces with his brother Gary, played by Redd, and his father-in-law Rick, who was originally supposed to be played by Andy Garcia but got replaced by Johnson.
The series was originally planned to air after the 2020 Olympics, with intentions of filming during Thompson's hiatus from Saturday Night Live. However, since COVID-19 hit, production is currently at a standstill with no plans of resuming soon. Once production resumes, the pair will work on both shows.
