Disney Lovers Must Wait
For the die-hard Disney fans and D23 fan-club members, the excitement will have to wait. The convention was scheduled for next summer of 2021 but it has just been announced that the D23 Expo will be taking place September 9th through 11th of 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Although the wait will be longer, the next D23 Expo will have so much more meaning to it. The event will come just a few months before Disney's 100th year anniversary, so fans will get a lot of information on the excitement that the following year will bring. The last D23 Expo took place in 2019.

D23, the official fan-club of Disney, was started almost 12 years ago, when Bob Iger, Executive Chairman of The Walt Disney Company, started the club in March of 2009. The name, D23, was given to the club to honor the year that Disney was first established, 1923. The club gives members exclusive discounts, limited edition merchandise, collector's items, and early access to the expo. The club is most known for the D23 Expo, which includes celebrity appearances, first looks at upcoming projects, updates to the Disney parks, and many exhibits. The Expo happens every other year and while there definitely are enough projects for Disney to announce for the Expo to happen once a year, D23 would like to keep the excitement alive and high attendance in check with the D23 Expo happening every other year.
Now, we can only wait for the celebrations that come with the D23 Expo in September of 2022!
