On August 10, Disney Television Studios announced plans for a major rebranding of three major Disney studios: 20th Century Fox Television, Disney Studios and Disney Signature Studios, and Fox 21 Television will all be changing their names with a full integration by the end of this year.
New Names, Logos, and Motion End Cards!
The new names for the three major Disney Television Studios will be as follows:
Disney Studio and Disney Signature Studios will become Disney Signature
Fox 21 Television Studios will become Touchstone Television
20th Century Fox Television will become 20th Television
In a statement made by Craig Hunegs, President of Disney Television Studios, he says:
"Our new studio names and logos mark a new day for ABC Signature, 20th Television and Touchstone Television while honoring their rich histories and the creative power of The Walt Disney Company. Dana and I could not be more pleased with the first year of our three studios together as part of Disney Television Studios and we believe that with our powerhouse talent roster and exceptional studio teams, the best is yet to come."
Recently, all three Disney Television Studios earned 47 Emmy award nominations for this awards season and has racked up a whopping 767 Emmy award nominations over the course of the last decade with 134 Emmy wins. Famously, the three Disney Television Studios account for the #1 scripted series on 10 networks, including Greys Anatomy, This Is Us, 9-1-1, American Horror Story, Queen of the South, American Dad, Barkskins, grown-ish, and Little Fires Everywhere.
The programming for all studios now reaches over a billion people in 180 countries spanning across six continents and is available in 30 different languages. With its impressive outreach, this rebranding is huge news for the future of Disney Television Studios.
