David Blaine is known for taking on the most mind-bending illusions conceivable, but his latest project Ascension will be delayed and moved to another location.
Originally supposed to take place in the NY/NJ area, David Blaine's newest project Ascension will be his first live stunt in over a decade. Partnering with YouTube, the magician hopes this daring exhibition will be a positive outlet for those going through trying times. Blaine will take flight, holding onto a large amount of helium balloons as he travels across the sky.
NYC to Arizona
Taking to his social media accounts, Blaine informed fans of the decision to move his latest stunt from his native New York City to Arizona, where the weather conditions are more suited to his liking. Blaine went on to explain the decision to move the project, saying:
"Because of the complexity of this project, I'm not going forward with my plans to do New York City at this time. The good news is this groundbreaking R&D flight will be done for the first time right here in Arizona which is the most beautiful backdrop I have ever seen in my life."
