It's been three years since Daughtry has released an album. Now, the American Idol alum and his band are back with their sixth studio album, Dearly Beloved.
"It was definitely the most hands on I've ever been in a record. It's definitely the heaviest record we've ever done. This record is 100 percent therapy," Daughtry said.
Dearly Beloved is the band's first album to be released independently under the label Dogtree Records.
"It felt liberating to have that freedom and control and not have some major record label in my ear. You forget to listen to the most important voice and that's your own."
To celebrate the release of their most personal album yet, Daughtry is hitting the road with co-headliners Sevendust and Tremonti.
Dearly Beloved is available to stream now and tickets for the tour are available here.
In other music news, it's déjà vu for Scooter Braun who discovered 14-year-old Justin Bieber on YouTube.
Similarly, Braun signed another rising star, Callista Clark, after watching her rendition of "Have You Ever Seen Rain" online.
"I posted a video on my Facebook when I was 13 and it now has around 28 million views," Clark said.
Callista also just secured her first major tour as an opener for Chris Young this fall.
"I'm able to see people singing my songs back to me and it's all starting to feel real."
The country sensation's new EP, Real To Me, is available to stream now.
