Dakota Johnson on Running into Childhood Crush, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, with Her Mom

Dakota Johnson's Mom Has to Chill w/ the Photos
Dakota Johnson recently sat down to chat with James Corden for an episode of The Late Late Show.

The Lost Daughter star is known for being a private celeb. But she recently shared that though she’s not active on social media, her famous parents, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith love posting photos.

When Corden asked if she was okay with her parents posting photos of her, she said,

"I don't like it, but I also don't go on social media, so I don't find out about it until it's really baked into the Internet, and somebody will send it to me like, ‘Oh, you were so ugly—or you were so cute, when you had braces and a slicked back ponytail.'"

So how does Johnson handle it? “Like a 12-year-old,” she says.

“I'm like, ‘Mom, you can't do that. We've had this conversation so many times!' She doesn't care."

Like most people, Johnson revealed that she often gets embarrassed by her parents. She reflected back on her "run in" with her childhood celebrity crush Jonathan Taylor Thomas, in which her mom tried to be her wingwoman.

"My mom is the most amazing person, but she embarrasses me in front of a lot of people. I Saw him in the airport and I was like, ‘Oh my god, Mom—I think I was 8—Oh my god, Mom, it's him, it's really him. I was like, ‘We're gonna be married. We're gonna be together forever…We're the same. We love each other.'"

Naturally, Griffith called him over, so 8-year-old Johnson did her best to be "invisible." She said,

"I was across the airport behind a plant...It was obvious...I couldn't hide behind the plant…it wasn't like a tree."
