Paramount+ has confirmed that a Criminal Minds reboot is in development.
Last year, Paramount+ shared that the reboot was going to capture the team coming together again to investigate one single case over the duration of ten episodes.
According to Deadline, Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series, recently said:
“We are still very much in development on Criminal Minds. We’ll have more to share on that soon but it is alive and well.”
Clemens mentioned that the reason for the delay of the reboot was due to the executive change at the company and not as much to do with the television show itself.
The original show first aired on CBS in 2005, and it stayed on air for 15 seasons. Some of the cast included Mandy Patinkin, Shemar Moore, Joe Mantegna, Aisha Tyler, Matthew Gray Gubler, Thomas Gibson, Lola Glaudini, Adam Rodriguez, AJ Cook and Brewster, as well as others. Most, if not all, cast members are expected to return for the reboot.
