Comedian Sinbad is Recovering From A Stroke

The family of Sinbad has reported that the comedian is recovering from a stroke and want to thank fans for their love and support during this difficult time.

Sinbad endured this stroke at the age of 64 and is currently recovering. He is known for his stand-up comedy shows and sitcom appearances.


The Career of Sinbad

Sinbad, born David Adkins, began stand-up comedy and gained fame on the show Star Search which he made all the way to the finals before losing to John Kassir.

Sinbad was soon cast on The Redd Foxx Show, where he played Byron Lightfoot.

From then, the comedian went on to a land a role in A Different World as Coach Walter Oakes and his popularity grew so much that Fox green lit The Sinbad Show, a self-titled series starring Adkins in the role of David Bryan.

Since then, Sinbad has appeared in movies and performed numerous sets of stand-up comedy. Sinbad has also used his social media accounts as a platform to advocate for the Joe Biden presidential campaign and Black appreciation.

Adkin Family Statement

In a statement to The Associated Press, the Adkins family stated,

"it is out of sincere love that we share Sinbad, our beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke."

The family then went on to explain Sinbad's influence and hopes for a quick recovery:

"Sinbad is a light source of love and joy for many generations. While he is beginning his road to recovery, we are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon."
