After the three month shutdown due to COVID-19, the Cineworld Group will reopen their theater doors in the coming weeks.
The First Movies Out
Mulan, Wonder Woman 1984, and Christopher Nolan's new film Tenet made the cut for the first movies to be shown in theaters. Cineworld is the second largest cinema business in the world, owning 787 theaters and in ten countries after its acquisition of Regal Cinemas.
Reopening Guidelines
Cineworld used bank support, deferred salaries and suspended quarterly dividend payments to stay afloat. The group is committed to the safety of moviegoers and will be adjusting cleaning procedures and adapting screening schedules to avoid crowds. AMC Theaters (the largest movie theater owner) and Cineworld are planning to reopen while following guidelines from state and local governments.
In the U.K. and U.S., Cineworld is set to reopen July 10th!
