Ciara released her new song "Rooted" along with a music video. The song and visuals promote the Black Lives Matter movement. The video was filmed just two days before she gave birth to her third child, Win. The empowering video also features her children Future and Sienna.

"Rooted" pays tribute to motherhood and Black culture, highlighting families and protestors. It features activists wearing shirts of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, whose murders prompted the Black Lives Matter movement.

Ciara took to Twitter to say:
"To all my Black Queens & Kings, always know everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you. A portion of the proceeds from this song will go to support @G4GC_Org. STAY #ROOTED"
Proceeds from the song will go towards Grantmakers for Girls of Color, an organization that invests in support of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and Pacific American girls in the United States.
The music video ends with a message that reads:
"To all my young Rosa's and Young Luther's keep marching. Don't stop fighting for what you believe in. To all my Black queens and kings, continue to plant and spread seeds of love, hope and pride in your tribe. Everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you. Stay rooted."
