This Hallmark love story will bring tears... and cute dogs!

A Tail of Love follows Bella and the problems she faces after her dog rescue center has their funding stopped. JR, a soldier who's about to leave overseas, becomes suddenly attached to one of Bella's pups and the woman running the dog shelter.

Brittany Bristow, who plays Bella, recalls having a "blast" filming with the dogs.

"It was so much fun and honestly, Chris and I so much fun hanging out with the dogs, too. They were all so cute, I think I tried to take about 12 of them home with me," Bristow said.

Chris McNally plays the role of the soldier and Hallmark fans already love the star from When Calls the Heart.

"There's a lot of avenues to explore in season 10 when given that opportunity and I sincerely hope we are. I think the fans are very passionate about the show and it means a lot to them," McNally said.

A Tail of Love premieres Saturday, April 23rd, on Hallmark Channel.
