Chip and Joanna Gaines are back and better than ever with Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, a reimagined version of their original and beloved series. We spoke to the couple's go-to carpenter, Clint Harp, for an exclusive interview!
In 2017, HGTV fans everywhere had their heart broken by the news that Chip and Joanna's Fixer Upper was coming to an end. The couple continued to build their empire while also focusing on their family, and not long afterward did they announce an entire network in partnership with Discovery was in the works.
The Magnolia Network is set to launch later in 2021, taking over the channel currently known as DIY. In the meantime, their new reboot of Fixer Upper is currently available for streaming on Discovery+ as of Friday, Jan. 29.
We sat down with Clint Harp, a carpenter who works closely with the couple, for some more insight on his relationship and background with Chip and Jo:
"My wife and I decided to go for this dream... we didn't now Chip and Jo. There was no TV at that point. So we went for this with no knowledge of what was coming... There was this little spark and it had nothing to do with tv it just had everything to do with building furniture and building things we love... and the next thing we know I'm doing it on television."
While it certainly was a wild ride, we are thankful for every second of it!
"It changed everything, life was very different."
