For most Americans, Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of every November, but Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October.
The holiday may date back to Martin Frobisher's celebration of his voyage to find the Northwest Passage. Now, Thanksgiving is mostly seen as a celebration of the harvest and a day of gratitude. Canadian Thanksgiving, every second Monday of October, also happens to coincide with Indigenous Peoples' Day (and Columbus Day).
Many Canadians have taken to celebrating the holiday with a Thanksgiving meal on the night, or even weekend, before. Although Thanksgiving in Canada is not as big of a deal as it is in the United States, there are still some celebrities and other notable public figures observing and posting about the holiday on social media!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians! And wishing Americans a thoughtful and introspective Indigenous Peoples' Day this Monday.
