During the interview, she said she couldn't imagine going back to the demanding world of movie-acting while being a mother. A new business venture and life at home with husband Benji Madden and their daughter is what Diaz is focusing her energy on. Diaz, who quit acting back in 2014, announced the birth of their daughter Raddix in January of 2020.

Diaz told Yahoo her priorities have since shifted, saying:

"So it's just a different time in my life now. Now I'm here and this is the most fulfilling thing that I've ever done in my life. [To] have a family and be married and have our little nucleus of a family. It's just completely the best thing. So I can't give...I don't have what it takes to give making a movie what it needs to be made. All of my energy is here."

Co-founder of the Avaline wine line Katherine Power also weighed in:

"My career is so fulfilling to me, and so exciting. And it's, you know, partly what gets me up and motivated every day. And that is what allows me to look at things and say, 'Hey, I'm happy to work on balance, because I love doing all of these things."

It sounds as if Diaz is more than satisfied with the life she has built for herself- but if she ever wants to make a return to acting, we'll be there waiting!
