Austin Crute is the breakout star from ABC's new sitcom, Call Your Mother!
ABC is bringing the family together on their latest sitcom!
Call Your Mother follows a mother, played by Kyra Sedgwick, who decides to move cross country to be closer to her kids, much to their chagrin.
Austin Crute plays Lane, a gay best friend to Kyra's oldest child, Jackie.
Crute chatted with our Ricky Cornish all about the primetime diversity and representation as part of his latest project.
"I grew up not really seeing myself on a screen," Crute said.
However, Donald Glover fans may remember Austin from his hilarious beginnings as Justin Bieber on FX's Atlanta.
"It was so fun. That was my first ever time having an acting debut! I got a trailer! I got French toast in the morning. I know this ain't French toast! [laughs] So, it was a very good experience. I loved it so much," Crute said.
You can catch new episodes of Call Your Mother Wednesday nights on ABC.
