The eighth and final season of ABC's Black-ish is set to feature a number of prominent celebrities.

As Black-ish enters its eighth and final season, the most exciting lineup of guest stars has finally been announced.

Fans were ecstatic when Michelle Obama, herself, appeared on the first episode of the newest season, which aired January 3 on ABC. Now anticipation has been increased ten-fold, as it was recently revealed celebrities such as Olympic Gold-Medalist Simone Biles and Hamilton star Daveed Diggs will be making appearances.

But that's not all-- the newest season will also feature NBA all-star Magic Johnson, as well as Isaiah Mustafa, Reid Scott, Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan, and several other members of the Lakers basketball team.

As the beloved sitcom comes to an end, the actors reflect on the experience and legacy of the show. Black-ish follows the Johnson family, and tackles heavy subject matters such as systemic racism, voting rights, and even the Covid-19 pandemic, a subject often avoided on other shows.

Lead actress Tracee Ellis Ross had this to say on the matter:

"We got to see a Black family that was thriving and not just surviving. And I was drawn to this loving relationship between a couple. I had rarely seen that on sitcoms — there wasn't just constant eye-rolling. And Rainbow was a woman who was more than just one thing: She was not just a wife. She was not just a mother. She was also a doctor. She had a real point of view. To be able to walk into the end of this show, I'm left with so much joy and pride."

Black-ish is a show that uplifts black voices and portrays "the black family" in a light never before seen on television. Its point of view and talented cast will surely be missed as the series comes to an end.

Watch the final season of Black-ish, as it airs Tuesdays on ABC.
