Black Mirror is finally returning to Netflix for its sixth season!
Three years since the premiere of season 5, the dystopian drama will be making its return to the streaming service.
While few details have been revealed, Variety has confirmed that the new season will feature more episodes than the previous season. [Season 5 only had three installments.]
A source told Variety that it will be "even more cinematic in scope, with each installment being treated as an individual film."
The road to a new season wasn't an easy one for show creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones. After the duo left the production company that owns the Black Mirror rights in January 2020, they were unable to produce show content. However, according to Variety, their new company, Broke & Bones, later reached a deal with rightsholder Banijay to license the show to Netflix.
The previous season was star-studded, featuring Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie and Topher Grace. We can only imagine who will star in the highly-anticipated sixth season!
