The television personality, zookeeper, and conservationist Bindi Irwin has decided to take a break online so that she can spend some time with her young family.

Many are wondering why exactly in this moment the star has chosen to take a break. She has been known to post updates on her Instagram often, whether it is animal experiences or her first couple months as a mother. Bindi has posted many photos of her beautiful daughter and husband in the past months so quitting social media is surprising to many.

Recent news has come out about Bindi's relationship with her grandfather Bob Irwin and many believe that this may be part of the reason for the star's social media hiatus. Bindi posted on Facebook about her relationship with her grandfather, saying that:

"He has returned gifts I've sent him after he opened them, he has ignored my correspondence and from the time I was a little girl he has ignored me, preferring to spend time doing anything else rather than being with me"

This caused some controversy in the Irwin family as well as on social media as many were shocked to hear Bindi's experience with mental abuse in her relationship with her grandfather. Some of Bob Irwin's grandchildren and friends have spoken up to refute this claim because they see him as a loving and present individual.

Maybe the family will be able to figure out how to repair Bob Irwin's relationship with his late son's family, but for now Bindi is taking a break from social media and focusing on her daughter and life outside of the public eye.
