Carly Waddell and Evan Bass have officially called it quits. After weeks of speculation, the pair released a joint statement on December 23rd, which said:
"We have made the difficult decision to separate. We will always cherish our time together and continue to have the utmost respect for one another as we focus on what's best for the future of our family. We greatly appreciate everyone's love and support and kindly ask that you please respect our family's privacy as we navigate through this."
Yesterday, Waddell opened up about the split on her YouTube channel, revealing why (she believes) the relationship ended. Waddell said:
"We've tried. We tried, y'all, for a really long time to make it work...we focused a lot more on the kids than we focused on ourselves, and ultimately, that was probably our biggest downfall."
The Bachelor star then acknowledged what was the last straw, saying it was "his call." She revealed:
"I always told him, if he wanted out it was his call because I just am not a person that would ever be out," the former cruise ship singer claimed in her YouTube video. "What are you gonna do? If somebody doesn't wanna be with you, they don't wanna be with you..."
