All American, the football drama that airs on The CW and streams on Netflix, just made its third season available on the platform and Advocate Channel talked to one of its stars all about the episodes.
The show, which has already been renewed for a fourth season on The CW, follows high school football player Spencer James, played by Daniel Ezra, as he navigates high school and his position on the Beverly Hills High School football team after being recruited from South Central.
The third season of the show shakes things up as coach Billy Baker (Taye Diggs) and Spencer join a new school and new football team at South Crenshaw High School.
Actor Lamon Archey plays the school district superintendent D'Angelo Carter who threatens to shake up the community and talked to us all about the third season and his character's story arc.
"So he's coming back. I won't say to cause trouble, but at least be the mountain that they are going to have to climb over to make things work in their favor, and when I say 'their', I mean the coach, the football team, Spencer. He's really going to create some obstacles for them," Archey said of his character this season.
As for All American's massive success, Archey said:
"I think it was number one on Netflix for a while, and it was a shock to me, but it's well deserved."
