Netflix's Queer Eye headed to Philadelphia for its fifth season, so naturally the Fab Five had to work their magic on Gritty, the Philadelphia Flyers beloved mascot.
The Philadelphia Flyers reported that Netflix reached out last summer while Queer Eye was filming. Flyers senior communications director Sarah Schwab said:
"We knew this crossover would be a humorous and feel-good addition. We also jointly agreed that in the end, Gritty wouldn't need much 'making better' and should embrace his quirks and look with confidence."

In the video released yesterday, the Fab Five meet Gritty on the ice rink and learn that he was nominated by fellow sports mascot Phillie Phanatic. The Phanatic wrote in:
"I don't think gritty needs to change a ton. Maybe you guys could convince him that he doesn't need to eat a cheesesteak for every meal."
Jonathan Van Ness said the Fab Five's goal was to "take this orange fluffy mess to game-day best."
If you're a fan of Queer Eye and Philadelphia sports like I am, be sure to watch this hilarious crossover!
